If I had enough money for a Corvette, I would be buying a BMW, Porsche, Anything else. Try building one of those engines. I see it as a great way to milk more money about of the buyer - Try about $6,000. And what about the Warrantee?? And what about the time you spent wasting if you don't know how to do something? I mean if your building and engine what if you screw it up?
This reminds of a restaurant near by the old Street Meets called UR Cooks. You cook your own Steak for $50 including Steak, Tax, Tip and Beer. Great idea for the foolish customers. Never made it even in a thriving economy. |

So clearly Turbo didn't read the link. The warranty still applies. If I could afford a ZR1 it would be one of the only vehicles I'd buy....that or an audi R10.
Pretty cool gimmick IMO. It should draw some buyers in, and really endear customer loyalty from the stories that will result. |

a pro is watching and helping the whole time so you're not going to get stuck... this is geared towards anyone, not just people who know how to build engines and it's a cool way to make your car more personal to you specifically. It's not some car slapped together by robots in Germany and shipped to a dealer for you to buy off the rack.
at BMW $100,000 gets you to 60 in 4.4 seconds, right there with a $30,000 camaro at Chevy $100,000 gets you there in 3.3, on par with a $320,000 lamborghini
but you like the BMW... that's fine with me. have fun with that

arguing the opinion of what car looks better is pointless but I'd rather have this in my garage than any of the ones you posted

and it isn't all about pulling tail. I would never base my decision of what car I want to buy based on which will get me laid... but that's me |

Tsaroth,
In reguards to attracting women. I was like you in the past. I owned a Camaro for nearly 10 years. As I gotten older it was known as a teenage car or track car. In the same class as Mustangs.
True part of the reason I drive an underpowered car is that fact that James Bond drove a Z3 in one of his movies. Just a lucky find on Craigslist. And as we all know the Camaro was on Transformers. Need I say more.
Corvette fits well in the class of the exotic cars I listed, but I am just showing if you going to spend that much there are alternatives that are real cool looking as well. I watched the video I thought it was cool. I am not Rich so I don't have $6K for the LS Experience. |

the only people who even have the option of building their own engine are people buying a new Z06 or a new ZR1 and if you can afford to drop a minimum of 70 grand on a car I'm sure you could muster another 6k for the experience.
I'm really not sure why you're pointing out that the Camaro was in Transformers. Seems like maybe you were talking about my car or something, but I don't have a Camaro. So yes, apparently you need to say more... |

Understood the experience is worth allot but not 6k
LOL I know you drive a Corvette soon to have forced induction. I would love to see on the track. I would be afraid to ride in it with that much power and testosterone.
My goal on TexasFbody is to persuade everyone to get better cars. Ouija took my advise and got a nice BMW Sedan. Anyone who would buy a Yellow Transformer Addition 5th Gen Camaro should be banned from TFB.

Actually, if memory serves me correctly, 5th gens no longer have the F designation.
ALSO, I have to chuckle that I "took your advise"
Last time I checked I had been looking at the BMW 550 since about 3 years ago...

The "tail-pulling" thing was a joke, but has some truth embedded in it.
Not to nitpick, but the for the GTR to get to 60 in 3.3 seconds you have to put it into launch mode, which automatically voids it's warranty. After you pull to 60 in 3.3, that magical rush of buring up a 20k transmission is completely yours to enjoy......check me on this.
I understand turbos motivations to get a nice bmw. The interiors are nicer than gm stuff of old. I also understand tsaroths. I feel a ZR1 or Z06 accomplish both, but that's just me. They both drive bad ass and pull tail with ease.
And ouija still owns two fbods last I checked.

haha wow... that's messed up the new ones have a launch control that you can use with VDC on so it wont void the warranty, but it isn't as effective

Bang for the buck: Chevy wins over the Euro snobs hands down.
Also, the kind of women you would pull in a hopped up F-body are probably going to do things in bed that the BMW girls won't! |
